Description
Waterlife Protozin White Spot& Fungus
Waterlife Protozin is a 7 Day treatment for whitespot (ich), Oodiniasis (velvet), Costiasis, Trichodiniasis, Neon Tetra Disease and Fungus.
White Spot disease is caused by a parasite, it is identified by white salt like grains scattered on the body of the fish. The adult parasite lives on the body of the fish and is what gives the white grain appearance. The adult will detach from the body of the host fish and release hundreds of cysts which result in free swimming juveniles that will then hunt out host fish to infest. When treating white spot the entire tank should be treated (rather than quarantining the individual fish) to rid the system of the free swimming juveniles as well as the visible adult parasites.
As well as treating white spot this application will also treat fungus, which appear as fluffy cotton wool like white growths and larger parasites found on the body such as anchor worms and lice.
This is a seven day treatment, dose with 20 ml for every 200 liters of aquarium water, the dose should be repeated on days 1,2,3, and 6.
Suitable for use in tropical and cold water aquariums.
Protozin should NOT be used in aquaria containing African Mormyrids (i.e. Elephant Nose Fish), Piranha, Rays, Sturgeon/Sterlets, or Invertebrates.
