The glass used for the glass panels is properly tempered, i.e. subjected to a special thermal treatment consisting in heating to a very high temperature and very fast cooling with compressed air. The glass is also difficult to scratch. Such toughened glass panels have a higher mechanical strength and if broken, break into small pieces with out of focus edges. Glass panels on the wall give the interior a modern and aesthetic look.
